ESG PC security researchers have issued a warning about Gmail Hacker Pro, a fake hacking tool that claims to be able to hack any Gmail account easily. This fraudulent tool is being advertised on the Internet as of October 2011, and it tries to lure unsuspecting users with the promise of breaking into the email accounts of one of the most popular and secure software companies in the world. However, anyone with a basic understanding of PC security would know that such a tool is highly unlikely to exist, and if it did, it would not be freely available to the public. ESG security researchers argue that if hackers had access to such a powerful tool, they would not need to resort to phishing scams or social engineering Trojans to steal email credentials from their victims. They could simply use this amazing tool and bypass all the security measures of Gmail. However, as the old saying goes, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The fake hacker tool Gmail Hacker Pro is nothing but a disguise for the GmailHackerPro.pj!.1a Trojan, which infects the user's computer during the installation process. Instead of downloading and installing a toolbar as it claims to do, the Gmail Hacker Pro installer secretly installs the GmailHackerPro.pj!.1a Trojan in the background.
